This is the basis of a 26-y.o. guy’s ad on CL right now. His opening line is “In theory I like girls, but never the ones that I actually meet.” This is not an inviting ad. He’s basically telling girls not to write to him!
I see this a lot online, guys whining about how they don’t like any of the women they meet. Dudes, if you can’t find any girls at all who interest you then the problem is you, not the women. You are being too picky!!
This 26 y.o. poster goes on to say that he wants someone “not excessively girly” and “rational.” So basically he wants a man – very likely a carbon copy of himself. He’s going to be looking a long time.
Boys: You have to get use to some differences between you and the people you date, and tolerate them – even learn to appreciate them.
I saw this quote recently and I love love love it:
“If you are both the same, then one of you is unnecessary.”
